The Goal

What we hope to create here is a positive community based around the promotion and understanding of FLOSS projects and ideals, with special emphasis on the “Libre” part of FLOSS. There’s a-plenty of promotion of the “Open” part, as ever more corporate interests realize the undeniable advantages of Open Source. And that’s fine, but there is not so much promotion of the “Libre” part – here’s to changing that and getting out an effective message about all aspects of the FLOSS movement!

The Tools

Well, there’s me – what more is needed? (Don’t answer that.) We also have some nice forums, so check those out and please post! Also, I’d like to put out the call for anyone interested in doing “political cartoons” in the context of the FLOSS world. I’m not sure my amazing stick men on stenographer pad paper sets the same flavor as those little portraits the Wall Street Journal uses.Contact me for details if that sounds interesting to you.

We are also open to guest writers and hope to add regular contributors in the future!

The Plan

Right now, I plan to stick to roughly one “real” article every day or two, and smaller, short articles about interesting news as they come along. I’m just one man, so there’s only so much I can do as we get started, despite how ruggedly handsome and devastatingly witty I am.
