ZDNet Asia: Open Source is no longer sexy

As long as I’m around Open Source can’t help but to be at least a little sexy just by osmosis. Hey-yo!

Anyway, good to see ZDNet Asia is as clueful as ZDNet Not Asia on Open Source:

Today, open source headlines have trickled to just a handful a month, compared to the old days when there would be one almost every other day of the week.

Indeed! So long as you consider “thousands a week” the same as “a handful a month”:

"A Handful a Month"

The truth of the matter is that “Open Source” is so “sexy”  that companies continue to fall over one another trying to apply it to their products and business practices.

If anything, ”Open Source” is moving beyond “sexy” right into “required label”.

By the way

When did starting off with a blatant false premise and then babbling on about it become the thing to do?
