While I’m still knee-deep in setting up my new laptop via Linux From Scratch, let me take a breather to share something I learned which you may or may not already know:
Say you have a directory that you know you own (sandbox).
Say you try to ls (or cd or otherwise interact) with the directory, but you get one of two things:
- “permission denied”, or
- a bunch of question marks
Say you didn’t realize what you had removed from the directory file by accident.
You might be pooping too … until you saw your mistake.
